01//Briefing
You play Daniel Lazarski, an Observer, a neural detective, voiced by the late Rutger Hauer. A message from your estranged son brings you to a run-down apartment block, which is soon locked down. You investigate murders inside the building while uncovering what happened to your son.
02//In the field
You walk, search crime scenes with augmented vision modes and talk to residents through their doors. The main event is hacking into minds: surreal, shifting sequences that turn into psychological horror. There is no combat; some stealth sequences were reworked in System Redux.
03//The city
The building is a claustrophobic world of flickering screens, glitches and despair. The residents' stories behind doors are often great, and the Polish setting gives a distinct look.
04//Systems & choice
Very light: investigation is mostly linear with some choices near the end. System Redux adds new side cases, improved visuals and quality-of-life changes.
05//On your rig
System Redux supports ray tracing and looks impressive. Verified on Steam Deck. Note the game includes flashing lights and disturbing imagery.
